What is CSAT Course?
You're performing the CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) incorrectly if you take
it for
granted. It was developed to evaluate applicants' aptitude, reasoning, and
analytical
skills. In the Civil Services Prelims exam, the CSAT is a game-changer, hence it
requires
and deserves equal attention throughout the UPSC test preparation
process.Results from the
CSAT do not count toward merit because it is a qualifying exam. For the Prelims
exam, you
must have a passing grade of at least 33%.
The changing nature of the difficulty level of CSAT has surprised many
candidates.The CSAT
score doesn’t play any role in the final order of merit, but it indirectly
impacts the
Prelims exam cut-off. The Prelims CSAT test includes a time restriction of two
hours and a
total of 80 objective-type questions. In the CSAT paper, each question is worth
2.5 points,
for a total of 200 points. For wrong replies, a mark is deducted. 1/3 of the
total marks
assigned to that question are subtracted for each erroneous response. However,
if a question
is left unattempted/unanswered, no marks will be deducted. Though the paper is
qualifying in
nature, yet it requires thorough preparation.
