Score Enrichment Program - Philosophy
The goal of enrichment is to give students who have already learned or can
shortly master the
fundamental curriculum additional learning opportunities and challenges. The
student has
more time to study subjects with greater complexity, breadth, and depth thanks
to
enrichment. Additionally, enrichment gives students the chance to pursue
education in their
own areas of interest and expertise.
Advanced kids' accelerated academic requirements are supported with enrichment,
which keeps
them interested. In the rigour and relevance framework, the question "What do
you do when
the student already knows it?" is best answered by enrichment.
Other Benefits Include
Independent study contracts : When a student selects a topic of interest
and
collaborates with the faculty to establish the guidelines for
the process and final result.
Learning logs - A student may use a learning log to record their learning
and link it
to the curricular objectives in the classroom if they have substantial learning
experiences
outside the classroom (such as in environmental education or writing for
publication). This
might be used as proof to encourage progressing to the next level or offering
more
enrichment.
